Hominy Post 142 of the American Legion. and Unit 142 of the American Legion Auxiliary, held their annual installation dinner last Friday, August 14th at the Legion Hut in Hominy. USAF veteran Jerry Sebert with the Legion cooked up ribs and chicken and the Auxiliary members and spouses brought sides and deserts which were enjoyed by the 20 members/guests in attendance. A great time was enjoyed by all at the Legion-Auxiliary Installation Dinner, last Friday at the Hut. Jerry Sebert outdid himself with a full feast, and the ladies once again completed the menu with assorted sides, salads, and desserts. The Post Installation Ceremony was performed with the Auxiliary installing Nancy O’Leary as President and Linda Cross as Executive Committee Woman. The ceremony was performed by Myrna Ladwig from Skiatook, who was the Past State President of the Auxiliary. Continue reading

Here’s news on the Damascus Knife raffle (donated by Dan Rathbun) I mentioned last week. The drawing is officially November 11th, fittingly, on Veteran’s Day. Tickets are $1 each and 6 tickets for $5. You can get your ticket around town where you see advertising or any American Legion member (the usual gang).
