When you pick up the Hominy News – Progress this week it should be on a memorable date. February 6^th, 1911 Ronald Reagan was born in Tampico Illinois. Most folks know him as an actor and President. As stated last week I had the opportunity to stop by the Chicken Noodle Feast Fund Raiser January 18^th. I only had time for a quick terrific meal but was curious to see how it turned out. Word came it that it was huge success and funds received exceeded expectations. Once again the Hominy community proved that it is unique and incredible in its support of her veterans. Thanks also to all members who came out to support the effort but especially Jerry Sebert our Chef extraordinaire. All proceeds support the local American Legion Chapter and all the things we do in the local community. Continue reading →

Although I had some scheduling challenges I was able to drop by the Chicken Noodle Feast Fund Raiser January 18^th. There was the gang running things smoothly. I thought I had tasted chicken noodles before but “I got schooled” (pardon the jargon of the young). Jerry Sebert out did himself. If you missed it you missed out. I could only stay for a quick dish and had to scoot. I will report next week how we did raising funds.
