Chicken Noodle Fundraiser on May 9th

Chicken Noodle fundraiser will be Saturday, May 9th (11:00 am to 1:00 pm).
We will need volunteers for an hour before to help Jerry set up, and an hour afterwards to clean up.
Prices will be $6 for adults, $3 for kids age 6-12, and kids under age 6 get in free.

Rex Mantooth to be Honored

We are having a special event this Friday at 2:00pm,
at the Osage County CO-OP Building, 207 East Main Street; in Hominy.
Our State Legislature will be honoring Rex Mantooth.
State Senator Eddie Fields and State Representative Sean Roberts will present an award to Rex, honoring WWII veterans. We would appreciate as many members showing up as possible.

Well, Saturday must have been a precursor of things to come…sunshine and the Oklahoma wind. Perfect! Make sure you make plans to join us for lunch at our Post Fundraiser coming up next month. Chef Jerry will be whipping up a Chicken and Noodle feed for the public and we need your support. At our FUNDRAISER Saturday, May 9th (1100 till 1300 hours). You cannot beat the price, $6 for adults (above age 12) $3 12 and below. Age 6 and below are free. Sides include tea, green beans and corn. Commander “Doc” O’Leary did a stand up job presenting slides (on a flash drive for you tekkies) on his recent trip with Nancy to Arizona for the Ira Hayes/Iwo Jima Memorial Parade and Ceremony at Sacaton, AZ on the Pima Indian Reservation. It was fascinating and fun to watch various aircraft fly in honor of Ira Hayes and all Native American tribes represented at the parade and event. It was exceptional. To top off the experience, Chef Jerry provided chocolate cake. I am not much on cake myself, but when I saw cherries in the cake I dove in. Man oh man, great stuff. Continue reading →

District One Convention

It will be held in Tulsa at Post 1 in conjunction with the Auxiliary.
